After my hubby and I bought our first house in 2002, we thought of doing some home improvements. At that time, we even went around the town gathering catalogs and price quotes. Internet surfing was not as popular as now, therefore we didn’t get the chance to compare prices and companies.

Besides getting some window replacements and mold removal for walls, we considered adding one of those wooden Houston pergolas like the one above. We always love to have wood furniture and furnishings for our home decor. In addition to durability, we love the natural aroma of wood.

Adding a pergola to our home means that our car will be protected from the sun. Imagine hanging some climbing plants such as money plants that bring wealth. I checked out at All-Tex that they provide free estimates.

Let’s Lay A New Driveway As Part Of Our Home Improvements September 17, 2007

A few years ago, I suggested to my hubby to renovate our first house so that it looked more presentable. It is a second-hand house which is more than 20 years old. We bought a second-hand house instead of a newly completed house because we were very particular about who our neighbors were and how safe the neighborhood was at that time. It would be a nightmare to have terrible neighbors with mischievous kids.

We moved in without renovating or painting the house at all. Some buddies thought that we were nuts at that time. Well, honestly speaking, the house was in quite good condition. The only parts that needed to be changed were the damaged windows and driveway.

The original driveway was very plain-looking. I told my hubby to consider Mulbarton cobbles which have a smooth top surface and softly chamfered sides to make this block paving look stunning. We even went shopping around to get more home improvements catalogs for driveways and windows.

If I had been connected to the Internet world a few years earlier, it would have been easier to find reputable and good quality home improvements for our house at very affordable prices.

We will definitely consider Anglian as it has been renowned amongst UK homeowners as the place to go for high quality home improvements for more than 20 years.
