Masada Bath Salts, Relaxing Lavender, Dead Sea MineralI am dead tired now. My hubby and I went meeting a few Chicago personal injury lawyers this morning to get some info for my brother-in-law.

I need a long hot bath now. There won’t be any home cleaning for weekend. I need a rest.

I feel so much better each time I get out of the tub after a long hot soak with Masada Bath Salts, Relaxing Lavender, Dead Sea Mineral.

I love the fantastic, natural-smelling lavender aroma. It isn’t that “chemical” lavender smell you get with a lot of lavender products; this smells like someone put a million fresh-cut lavender flowers into the plastic jar.

As an allergy sufferer, a lot of floral scents can set off a sneezing fit, but this Masada Bath Salts, Relaxing Lavender, Dead Sea Mineral doesn’t.

I am going to do some me-management this week.

Spend an hour a week doing one thing I really like - whether it’s reading a book or listening to a a CD.

Get a part-time cleaner to relieve me of my chores ! I am going to get my sister-in-law to do it.

Listen to my body. If I am tired, rest. Don’t go into overdrive. I did on Monday ! I was so exhausted in the morning that I turned off my computer and headed to my bed. I slept for more than 3 hours without any interruption.

There are 2 simple money saving tips that I would like to share with you. Honestly speaking, I hate cooking! However, I have to cook at home now in order to cut down the expenses.

We have already reduced the number of times we eat out at a restaurant. We used to have our dinners at food stalls and restaurants every evening. A dinner at food stall usually costs us $15 on average ($15 x 30 days = $450).What about restaurant ?…$25 on average ! Can you imagine how much I can save now cooking at home ? It costs less than $10 for a dinner.

How could it be ? Well, I am a lazy bone when it comes to cooking and doing housework, therefore I resort to preparing quick and easy lunches and dinners. Fortunately, my hubby is not choosy and complaining.

I have even more time now to search for various free recipes of fried rice and salad recipes especially seafood salads…mmmm.. yummy ! I can prepare different salad every day now.

We are quite health-conscious, thus getting only healthy recipe and articles is my first choice.

If you are going to boot any bad habit from your life, make it procrastination. Our remarkable ability to put off until tomorrow what needs to be done today can undermine any chance for change.

1. Pick one thing from your list of procrastinated items and do it at the start of a workday before you do anthing else. Then, give yourself a reward after you’ve completed it.

2. Write down three things that you could do today if you scheduled time for them. Post the list in a spot that you frequently see (your computer screen, for example), then commit to not leaving until all three are complete.

3. Delegate and celebrate. Hand things off at work and at home and trust that they’ll get done well. You’ll not only reduce your to-do list, you’ll also strengthen the abilities of your coworkers, kids and husband.

Your pleasure from your new house and your latest pay raise may subside. But you may be able to revive some of the good feelings by taking a few minutes to count your blessings.

Remember how wealthy neighbors can make you feel poor ? What matters is what you focus on.

Instead of obsessing over your neighbors’ riches, try focusing on the riches you have - and that will likely make you feel happier.

4 Simple Ways To Lose Weight February 19, 2008

Living on one pea per meal won’t stop an expanding waistline. Try these 4 small changes that really work ! Well, they work for me…;D

1. Go Slow. Many of us bolt down our meals like there’s no tomorrow. So you could be eating more than you need, as the body takes about 20 minutes to register that it’s full. To help control your weight, try going slow and really concentrating on the flavors and textures of your food.

2. Downsize Dinnerware. Often, we finish everything on a plate even if we’re not hungry. So, learn to practice portion control. Serve yourself in the kitchen and leave the serving dishes there. If not, you’ll be tempted to have seconds. Also switch from using 10- to 12-inch dinner plates to 7- to 9-inch lunch plates.

3. Water’s Best. The next time your fingers wander to the cookie jar or snack drawer, have a glass of water instead.Research shows that many of us mistake thirst fro hunger. Drinking water can fill your stomach and make you less likely to overeat. Plus, it helps ketones, the by-products from the breakdown of body fat,to be excreted through the urine.

4. Get Your Sleep. Lack of sleep affects the levels of leptin, the hormone that makes you feel full,so you’ll end up craving fatty and sweet foods. Worse still, sleep deprivation will affect your body’s ability to burn fat and repair muscles, plus you will find it tough to exercise.

What If You Don’t Have Golf Shoes ? February 19, 2008

Do you need golf shoes to play golf? No, you do not have to have golf shoes to play golf, and very, very few golf courses require the use of golf shoes.

Golf shoes are a good idea, however, because they are engineered to keep your feet from sliding around during the golf swing.

Golf shoes have come a long way, stylistically, over the past 15 years or so, too. You can still find “old school” golf shoes — black and white wingtips, leather and tassels. But golf shoes now come in many styles and colors, some indistinguishable from other athletic shoes, some in moccasin and even sandal styles.

If you do not have golf shoes and can’t afford or just don’t want to buy golf shoes yet, wear the pair of shoes with the most “gripping” soles you can find - rubber with lots of ridges or bumps.

Deal With Poker-Faced Paul January 20, 2008

Paul is everywhere - he’s the security guard at your office building, the estate manager at your condo, or anyone with some form of authority.

His common refrain:”No ma’am. I have to follow the rules.”

You know that if he wanted, he could allow you to leave the car at the lobby for three minutes while you scuttle to your office to retrieve a document, or approve a resident’s pass for your mum, who comes by every day to look after your kids.

Deal with it. Never act aggressively towards Paul - rules are rules. Treat him with respect and he may eventually bend the rules for you.

Do not flirt to get your way - you don’t want to end up with unsavory label.
