Yeahoo.. my credit card debt has gone down to $41,875!
It seems that what we have been doing has worked wonder ! Share with you what my hubby and I did to cut down our credit card debt.
Firstly, we cut off our credit cards. This is to avoid adding new debt to our existing balance.
Secondly, cut down our expenses on meals at restaurants, shopping sprees and luxury items.
Thirdly, do budgeting. I am kind of a lazy bone when it comes to recording daily expenses and doing spreadsheet, therefore I resort to budgeting software that saves me time and hassle. Time saved can actually be used to make more money to pay off my debt.

Now, whenever we are offered credit card offers, be it Best Cash Back Credit Cards or bad credit credit cards at the shopping malls, we will think twice. Sometimes, we take time to compare credit cards offered by various banks.
So far, we have cut down our credit card debts to $41,875. Though slow, but little by little. I think it’s going to take us at least 2 more years to fully settle our debts. Once our debts are settled, we will reward ourselves a vacation.

Since our debt reduction, hubby and I have learned to compare credit cards. No matter what credit cards we are offered, we will think twice.
With the advent of Internet, comparing and applying credit cards is even easier. If not because of our credit card debts, we will take up Sports Credit Card Low APR offers that come to us once in a while…;P
Hubby and I have made conscientious efforts to pay off our credit card debts first before we shop for new credit cards. If you are loaded with credit card debts like me ..;p, I bet you have also learned your lesson, that is exercising control on swiping the cards.

Whenever I am approached by buddy to buy insurance products, I will tell them to show me a few life insurance quotes, term life insurance quotes, car insurance quotes, or home insurance quotes.
This is to show my buddy that I am serious about my money if compared to last time. I used to take in whatever insurance policies quoted by buddy without much consideration.

According to money experts, we must also save money besides paying off credit card debts. No matter how small the amount is, it is still savings.
Once my savings has reached $1,000, I will consider investing in unit trusts or rare coins. My mom has kept a few gold coins since she was young. If she ever thinks of selling the coins, it’s going to be a considerable sum of money….;D
I think it’s time for me to read more investment tips and updates. By the time I settle my credit card debts fully, I will have all the investment information at my finger tips.

Another cause is that we didn’t make enough money to cover the high expenses. Anyway, since we picked up debt advice and started our debt reduction, we managed to cut down our credit card debts to $48,986. Our goal is to reduce the debts to $40,000 by the end of this year.
We have taken some personal loans and balance transfers that help reduce the interest rate charges. As for debt consolidation or IVA ,it will only be our last resort.

Yet ironically, when asked by, “If you found US$100 and didn’t need to pay off a bill or cover necessities, what would you do with it ?”. There was only a one percent difference between women who said they’d save it and those who said they’d spend !

Bookmarking financial websites, especially user-friendly and full of valuable tips and advice websites, has become of my habit.
While checking out some Secured Home Loans online this morning, I chanced upon MagicLoans.co.uk. The first feature I look for is if there are any easy-to-use calculator tools. Next, I am glad to have read the ‘Ask Magic‘ section where I can find most of my queries answered there.
I am still considering if I should take up a debt consolidation loan to pay off all outstanding repayments and high interest credit card bills. So far, I have been able to pay my monthly repayments on time.

Every day, we are overwhelmed with credit card offers, be it in letters, newspapers, magazines or at shopping malls.
Whenever hubby and I go shopping at the shopping malls, we will definitely be chased by some credit card sales representatives. Banks offer too many perks that shoppers can’t resist and sit down to fill in the forms.
0% interest rate credit cards, low interest rate credit cards, balance transfer credit cards, reward credit cards or cash back credit cards ? That there must one that suits the shoppers’ lifestyles.
Even if shoppers like me….;D who insist that we are loaded with credit card debts and have very bad credit scores, we will not be disappointed ! There are bad credit offers available for us.
