How To Clean Dried Floral Arrangements ?

Filed under: House / Home Cleaning Tips — Tags: , , , , — Home Cleaning Work At Home Mom @ 2:58 pm

Occasionally, the parents of my students in Cameron Highlands will send me some fresh or dried floral arrangements. They know I love flowers a lot.

Though they are beautiful to behold, cleaning the dust off dried floral arrangements is the last thing I want to do in my list. They are so brittle and fragile, not like golf balls.

Fortunately, a buddy shared with me how I can do it with ease.

Use my hairdryer, set on cool and on the lowest air speed. Hold hairdryer about ten inches from the arrangement and work from top to bottom. It’s best to do this outdoors so the dust doesn’t land on something else in my home.

Curb Those Evening Munchies, Otherwise I Will Gain Weight

I find that I love raiding the refrigerator in the evenings now. I know this is not a good habit. Maybe I am not eating breakfast.

I read somewhere that the more I eat earlier in the day, the more quickly I will fill up at dinner and that I won’t be hungry in the evening. While I sleep, my body is still burning calories, so I eventually will get hungry. But since I am still asleep, my body goes into ‘fasting’ mode.

In the morning, break my fast by literally waking my stomach up. I do not need to eat immediately upon waking, but try to eat something small within an hour or two of getting up.

Follow breakfast with my largest meal of the day at lunch. My metabolism perks in the middle of the day, so take advantage with a nice lunch. At night, have a reasonable dinner. My metabolism and waistline will both thank me.

Give Me 100 Reasons Why I Should Buy Your Home

Filed under: Lighting — Home Cleaning Work At Home Mom @ 2:22 pm

My hubby and I are happy to have rented this apartment in Cameron Highlands as the rental is only $500 monthly. According to my house owner, the market value for his house now is well above $240,000.

He has asked us before if we are interested to buy it. Honestly, noop…;D His asking price is $280,000 !

Even if we negotiate with him, the lowest we can get is $240,000. No way am I going to spend $240,000 on an apartment. With $240,000, I can buy a very elegant double-storey house with car park and garden in Kuala Lumpur.

I understand perfectly why my owner wants to sell his house at $280,000.

He spent more than $100,000 on renovation and lighting fixtures. He even installed three track lighting to highlight his daughter’s piano that sat in the space where the dining table is now.

The intense spotlight effect is perfect for showcasing the piano – but it makes an intimate sit-down at the table feel like an interrogation…arggg…

Delay Buying A New Home In Cameron Highlands

Filed under: Debt Management,Real Estate — Home Cleaning Work At Home Mom @ 12:27 pm

I think my hubby and I have to delay buying a new home in Cameron Highlands after reading some informative articles.

Firstly, we are still considered new to Cameron Highlands. It makes sense to rent for a number of months in Tanah Rate or Brinchang before deciding on exactly where we want to live.

Secondly, we find that giving tuition in Cameron Highlands is not as stable as we think. The locals here are notorious for trying new tuition centers at one go. I am worried that this may happen to me …one day….;D I really do not know when it will be my turn that they make a beeline to another new tuition center.

Thirdly, we need to really pay off at least 50% of our current credit card debts first. We are $55,846 in debts at the moment. To keep our dream of buying house alive, we hop over to some Wilmington NC real estate websites to have a peek of some single family homes and bungalows once in a while.

While paying off our credit card debts, we also spend our spare time reading and attending real estate courses and seminars so that the informative resources come in handy in future.

People’s Lawyers Are Needed To Fight For Fair Claims

I was shocked to have read about baby Lai Yok San a few days ago. She was born prematurely on July 23 and had to be kept in an incubator. Due to her limb’s infection at the hospital, part of her left arm would have to be amputated.

I couldn’t hold myself back when I saw her tiny hand which had turned blue. According to the doctor, Yok Shan’s infected fingers which were dry and brittle faced the risk of falling off on their own.

The baby is now getting the best medical care from specialists and the little girl seems to be responding positively.

I wonder if the parents have resorted to taking legal action. There are many “people’s lawyers” available in Malaysia who can fight for personal injury cases.

The baby’s physical injury is due to hospital’s fault, therefore the parents must enlist the help of “people’s lawyers” such as Raleigh personal injury lawyer.

These ‘people’s lawyers” do not judge their client by the extent of the damage or the injury but rather look to see if the the claim is a fair one. They then attempt to recover for their clients a fair sum for the injuries.

To Attract Potential House Buyers, Please Take Note Of Cleanliness

Our real estate agent called up the other day and suggested a few tips to attract house buyers for my hubby and me to consider before she puts up the signs and advertisements.

Firstly, I have to clean my front door as it is very dirty. If it is dirty or messy, buyers won’t go further. Well, if I were potential buyer, dirty or messy house will definitely give me a very bad impression.

Secondly, tidy all rooms and clear clutter. Gosh ! I haven’t lived there for more than 2 years ! Spiderwebs and dust are all over the place. It’s going to take me a few weeks to get rid of the dirt and dust.

And lastly, clean windows and mirrors. If there’s no view, consider fitting pretty muslin curtains.
