Get Help From Professional Real Estate Realtors August 28, 2007

While being disconnected from the Internet world, I took up the opportunity to read through real estate buying guides provided by my buddies. My buddies have been making a living just collecting lucrative rental income from their rental properties.

I have heeded their advice to buy a rental property in future once I save enough for the down payment. While saving for the considerable sum of down payment, my buddies send me some real estate and property buying guides occasionally so that I am well-informed of the latest real estate market.

I have also been advised to check out overseas real estate market as it is advisable not to put all investments in one basket.

Opting for holiday villas and condos is good choice as they are tourist attractions. With millions and millions of tourists flock to tourist attractions like Florida and Hawaii, it is worth giving their properties such as Orlando real estate for a try.

Do Household Chores On Weekends After 5 Days’ Blogging & Making Money Online August 25, 2007

Posted by Home Cleaning Work At Home Mom in : House / Home Cleaning Tips , 1 comment so far

I dislike doing household chores. I think that it’s a waste of my precious time doing housework. I would rather spend my time blogging, making money, watching movies and reading magazines than cleaning dirty sinks, scraping off liquid-chocolate stains and keeping my hubby’s tool storage.

How I wish I could hire a maid soon to do the home cleaning chores for me ! Fortunately, I am living in a small apartment which is quite easy to clean. Just do a bit of dusting before my classes start or while waiting for my students to arrive.

I am lucky to have a considerate hubby who is willing to share some household chores. He is in charge of mopping the floor, washing dishes and cleaning the bathroom. Poor buddies of mine ! They have to do all the housework themselves.

My Hubby Is A Watch Maniac ! August 25, 2007

My hubby is a watch maniac. He used to buy watches very often. I remember that he buy 3 watches during Chinese New Year this year. Unbelievable, huh ? It’s true.

I believe guys are very obsessed with their hobbies such as collecting watches and other antiques while women are crazy about dazzling diamond rings and jewelry.

Hanging out at eBay and some online watch websites is his favorite pastime these days as he tries to curb his spending habit. He has learnt to admire Swiss-made watches instead of owning them using his credit cards.

Let me recall…. mmm.. I think he used to own watches of Rado, Mido, Rolex, Titoni, Bulova, Tissot, Omega, Invicta and Movado. I am not quite sure if he has any Luminox watches.

Help Your Loved One Get Help If He Or She Has Drug Addiction August 24, 2007

My hubby and I were back from our holidays. We reached Ipoh yesterday evening. Upon stepping into the house, my sister-in-law warned me to be careful as the drug addict opposite our house had been released from the drug rehab. Gosh ! I really hope that he turn over a new leaf this time.

Whenever I see my neighbor, I tend to think of my brother-in-law who was once a drug addict. He had also been in and out of drug rehab centers many times. If I am not mistaken, he started getting involved in drug addiction in the 90s.

Though my brother-in-law had successfully kicked off his drug addiction and turned over a new leaf, taking drugs took its toll on his health. He died of internal organ failures which was caused by the harmful effects of drug.

My hubby told me that my brother-in-law attribute his success to choosing a right drug treatment. He emphasized on the importance of choosing drug rehab centers that care for drug addicts and treat them with dignity as they heal physically, mentally and spiritually.

My hubby and I take the issue of drug abuse very seriously. Whenever we come to know that friends or neighbours are involved in drug addiction, we will recommend to them any drug rehab centers that can help them start a new life. We always believe that there is life after drug recovery.

Yeahoo ! I am going to blog till dawn as I am on holidays now. My hubby and I will go to Kuala Lumpur on Monday.

Phew…thinking of shopping at Malaysia’s biggest one-stop destination mall, Mid Valley Megamall, just makes my heart beat speedily. My hubby asked if I needed my pulse oximeter to check my heart rate. To him, I am kind of too excited !

Of course, I am looking forward to this short break in Kuala Lumpur as I can’t even remember the last time I went back to KL. Besides, I haven’t seen my family members for a long time.

Eek..eek..my shopping sprees. Don’t worry ! There will be no impulse-buying even though I haven’t had my shopping sprees for ages.

How To Clean Dried Floral Arrangements ? August 18, 2007

Occasionally, the parents of my students in Cameron Highlands will send me some fresh or dried floral arrangements. They know I love flowers a lot.

Though they are beautiful to behold, cleaning the dust off dried floral arrangements is the last thing I want to do in my list. They are so brittle and fragile, not like golf balls

Fortunately, a buddy shared with me how I can do it with ease.

Use my hairdryer, set on cool and on the lowest air speed. Hold hairdryer about ten inches from the arrangement and work from top to bottom. It’s best to do this outdoors so the dust doesn’t land on something else in my home.

Any Personalized Gifts Such As Photo Blankets Or Photo Pillows From Cameron Highlands This Time ? August 18, 2007

Posted by Home Cleaning Work At Home Mom in : Gifts , 1 comment so far

My hubby and I live in Cameron Highlands which is a leading producer of vegetables and flowers.

Whenever we go back to Kuala Lumpur or our friends and family come here for holidays, we will give them vegetables or flowers as gifts. Besides that, local handicrafts such as handwoven handbags and purses are considered great gifts or souvenirs.

However, we started to sense that our family and friends were a little bored of receiving local vegetables and flowers from us.

Not wanting to bore them with the same stuffs, I searched for some personalized gifts online for them. Last month, I even ordered some garden flags and digital frames online for my family members and expectantly, they loved them very much.

Today, I was thrilled to discover another great range of personalized gifts which use the latest production technology to turn our favorite pictures into photo blankets, photo bedding, photo pillows and photo dog beds.

Look at this Red Coral Flower Bedding ! Doesn’t it look very vivid and real ? With its photo-real clarity and coral color scheme, it is sure to enhance the warmth of the bedroom. There are also pre-designed bedding where we can choose from many pictures for our photo bedspreads and duvets ! I bet my family and friends won’t even know these flower bedding are not from Cameron Highlands.

I was a bit skeptical at first whether the pictures will fade after a wash. So, I read the testimonials and reviews thoroughly at VisionBedding until I was convinced that the photo bedding, photo blankets and photo pillows are durable. I know photo bedding, photo blankets and pillows are unique, but, I am more concerned about the wear and tear on them.

At VisionBedding, our favorite photos or digital pictures are professionally dyed into the pillow fabric using the latest production technology, thus they feel and wash just like the clothes we wear every day.

I don’t think I will hesitate to order some photo pillows and photo bedding in future as they are so vivid and real that I feel like having them in my house.

Curb Those Evening Munchies, Otherwise I Will Gain Weight August 18, 2007

I find that I love raiding the refrigerator in the evenings now. I know this is not a good habit. Maybe I am not eating breakfast.

I read somewhere that the more I eat earlier in the day, the more quickly I will fill up at dinner and that I won’t be hungry in the evening. While I sleep, my body is still burning calories, so I eventually will get hungry. But since I am still asleep, my body goes into ‘fasting’ mode.

In the morning, break my fast by literally waking my stomach up. I do not need to eat immediately upon waking, but try to eat something small within an hour or two of getting up.

Follow breakfast with my largest meal of the day at lunch. My metabolism perks in the middle of the day, so take advantage with a nice lunch. At night, have a reasonable dinner. My metabolism and waistline will both thank me.
